Former mayor of Aplahoué municipality, Casimir Sossou, was elected Vice-President of the Commission on Laws, Administration, and Human Rights with 17 votes out of 17 voters. He thus replaces former minister Benoît Dègla.
After resigning from his position as the second rapporteur of the National Assembly on July 19th, the member of the Bloc Républicain party, Casimir Sossou, was elected as Vice-President of the same commission on Thursday, July 27th, 2023. He takes over the position previously held by Benoît Dègla, who resigned from the post.
By resigning following the former minister’s departure, the former mayor of Aplahoué aimed at the Vice-President position. The position of the second rapporteur, which he vacated, is now filled by the honorable Rachidatou Fatolou. It should be noted that the Commission on Laws, Administration, and Human Rights is presided over by the deputy of the Union Progressiste le Renouveau, Orden Alladatin.
