According to information reported by Fraternité fm, a local media outlet, the attempted abduction was carried out by two Nigerian nationals who had recently settled in the neighborhood. “These are two young Nigerians who recently settled in the neighborhood according to our sources. They tried to take away children who were able to defend themselves by shouting,” the source reported.
Attracted by the cries of distress from their children, the parents alerted the community. The two alleged kidnappers were apprehended and handed over to the police. Detained at the police station in the second district of Parakou, they will be presented to the prosecutor in the coming days, who will decide on the course of action for the case.
