While awaiting the official confirmation of his transfer to Al Nassr, Sadio Mané spoke to Sky Sports about his announced departure from Bayern Munich. He revealed that he would have liked a different ending.

After a turbulent year with Bayern Munich, the Senegalese football legend is already set to leave Bavaria. He will join Al Nassr alongside the Portuguese five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo. The official announcement of his transfer is expected in the coming hours.

Mané’s brief stint at Säbener Strasse was marked by disappointing performances, recurring injuries, and tensions with some of his teammates, which unfortunately left a negative impression.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Sadio Mané talked about his short time at Bayern Munich and expressed some regrets. “Leaving FC Bayern hurts me. I wish it could have ended differently. I know I could have helped the team this season. I wanted to prove that to everyone this season. I only wish the club and the fans the best for the future,” he said, as reported by Footmercato.

Despite his regrets about leaving Bayern Munich, Sadio Mané will surely find joy in the millions he will earn at Al Nassr. According to Sky Sports, the African champion will receive over €40 million per year in salary, approximately €760,000 per week. This astronomical sum will make Mané one of the highest-paid players in the world.
