During an interview on Polish television, Robert Lewandowski discussed his difficulties with FC Barcelona at the start of the season. The former Bayern player believes that the entire team needs to improve.

In his first season in Spain, Robert Lewandowski stood out by becoming the top scorer of La Liga with 23 goals. He played a crucial role in FC Barcelona’s championship triumph the previous season. However, at the beginning of the new season, the talented Polish striker struggled to find the back of the net. He only scored his first goal in the latest match against Villarreal (4-3), tallying just one goal in three matches.

Faced with these unusual difficulties in front of opponents’ goals, the former Bayern Munich player explained himself in an interview with Polish television. “In the last two matches, I didn’t have many chances, I didn’t receive many balls, so sometimes I had to create my own opportunities. We are Barcelona and we are expected not only to win, but also to play quality offensive football,” he said, as relayed by Footmercato.

He added: “Recently, that hasn’t been the case, and we’ve been working to create more chances in matches… When Ferran or Ansu come on, two players who move forward, we create more chances. Sometimes, we don’t play with enough offensive players, I don’t have support… So, I’m looking for the best solution for the team.” These words will undoubtedly reach his coach’s ears. Now it remains to be seen what Xavi’s reaction will be.
