Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana is back with the Indomitable Lions. The national team coach, Rigobert Song, has called up 24 players, including the Manchester United goalkeeper.
As announced in recent days, André Onana has returned to the national team. The 27-year-old goalkeeper, who plays for Manchester United, is back with the Indomitable Lions. Indeed, Rigobert Song has selected André Onana as one of the three goalkeepers to play against Burundi on September 12th.
Recall that the goalkeeper had decided to retire from international football after being suspended during the World Cup in Qatar. Additionally, the Fecafoot had cited disciplinary reasons.
It should be noted that the match against Burundi is part of the final round of qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast. A victory or draw would secure the Lions of Cameroon a spot in their 21st AFCON tournament.
