In a message posted on his social media, Sadio Mané reacted to his debut with Al Nassr on Thursday evening, during the draw against Zamalek in the Arab Club Champions Cup.
After a challenging season at Bayern Munich, marked by injuries, underperformance, and tension in the dressing room, Sadio Mané left Bavaria to join Saudi Arabia this week. He even made his debut with his new club on Thursday.
The former Liverpool star came off the bench in the second half during Al Nassr’s third group stage match against Zamalek (1-1) in the Arab Club Champions Cup. He was able to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo’s equalizing goal, which meant qualification for the Saudi team to the next round. After the match, the Senegalese captain posted a message on his social media.
“A new chapter begins!!! Congratulations for your great goal @Cristiano!!! On to the next round ���� Thanks to the fans of @AlNassrFC, the support has been incredible,” he wrote. Even though he remained silent during his first minutes wearing the Al Nassr colors, Sadio Mané should quickly regain his full form to help his team achieve their goals, particularly in the Saudi Pro League where the club finished second last season behind Al Ittihad, where Karim Benzema now plays.
