Thanks to a lone goal from Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr secured their place in the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Thursday night with a 1-0 victory over Al Shorta. After the match, CR7 celebrated his team’s qualification through his social media platforms.
Following their victory over Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the previous phase, Al-Nassr faced Al Shorta in the semi-final of the Arab Club Champions Cup on Wednesday. In a more challenging match than anticipated, the Saudi team secured a narrow victory of 1-0. While Sadio Mané was highly active during the game, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who secured the win and qualification for his team with a penalty goal in the 75th minute.
As is his custom, after the match, the Portuguese star took to social media to celebrate his team’s performance. “Final – here we go!! Great team effort! Special thanks to our fans for their incredible support and for always pushing us forward!” he wrote on Twitter and Instagram.
In the final of the Arab Club Champions Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and their teammates will face the winner of the clash between Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab, both Saudi clubs as well. If his team emerges victorious in this ultimate match, CR7 will add a unique trophy to his collection, even though FIFA doesn’t officially recognize the competition.
