Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessié is on the verge of leaving FC Barcelona to join Al-Ahli, and he could receive an astronomical salary in the Saudi Pro League.
According to information from the Spanish media Revelo, Kessié’s transfer to Al-Ahli would allow him to triple his current salary at FC Barcelona. The 26-year-old player could earn a salary close to 20 million euros (approximately 13 billion CFA francs, 60 million per year), compared to the 6.5 million euros he currently earns with the Blaugranas.
With this new contract, Franck Kessié will become one of the highest-paid African players. At Al-Ahli, he would join other football world stars such as Édouard Mendy, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, and Saint Maximin.
The transfer of Kessié to Al-Ahli would cost the Saudi club a sum of 15 million euros and a three-year contract for the Ivory Coast midfielder. This move to the Saudi Pro League would mark a new chapter in the career of the Ivorian footballer.
