Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou, the President of the National Assembly of Benin, was honored at the sixth edition of the Africa Korédé Awards.
On Sunday, December 17, 2023, the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou hosted the prestigious “Africa Korédé Awards” ceremony. Several personalities from the academic world, the social dynamics sector, and the private sector participated in this 6th edition of the “Africa Korédé Awards,” which is dedicated to innovation and research in traditional medicine.
According to Dr. Rodrigue Akotègnon Azonwakin, President of the Scientific Committee and the Organizing Committee, this distinction recognizes the merit of 18 individuals who, through their work, have earned the admiration of the organizers. “Each of the laureates we honor today embodies success, perseverance, and commitment to excellence. Their stories inspire us. Their achievements motivate us. And their dedication lights the way to a more prosperous and fulfilled Africa,” explained Dr. Rodrigue Akotègnon Azonwakin.
The objective of this celebration is also to inspire motivation among the youth. “Beyond just a celebration, the Africa Korédé Awards serve as an invitation to strive for the footsteps of our exceptional elders, to innovate in all sectors, and to contribute to the development of the Beninese Nation and Africa,” he said.
The choice of the President of the National Assembly, Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou, is not random, according to the President and Founder of Korédé Africa Culture International, Olouroun Kossoun Rogatien Odè. “Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou is a worthy man who deserves the honors bestowed upon him today. This is for everything he does for the consolidation of democracy in our country and also for his spirit of openness,” clarified the President and Founder.
In addition to President Louis Gbèhounou Vlavonou, the officials of Africa Korédé Culture International also recognized the merit of Honorable Cakpo Mahougnon, the First Parliamentary Secretary of the National Assembly of Benin.
Moreover, due to an engagement, Louis Vlavonou was represented by Mathieu Ahouansou, his Chief of Staff.
