Morocco is set to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON). According to a press release from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) on the evening of Monday, February 5, 2024, the tournament is slated to take place in the summer of 2025.
As the 2023 edition of AFCON is well underway, attention is slowly shifting towards the next tournament. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF) has confirmed that the premier African football event will be held during the warm months of June and July 2025. This follows the confirmation that Walid Regragui will continue as the head coach of the national team.
The preliminary phases of the tournament are scheduled to start in March 2024, with the qualification matches kicking off in September of the same year. Please see the detailed calendar below.

Preliminary round: from March 18 to 26, 2024.
1st and 2nd matchdays: from September 2 to 10, 2024.
3rd and 4th matchdays: from October 7 to 15, 2024.
5th and 6th matchdays: from November 11 to 19, 2024.
