The first round of group matches for the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) concludes tonight with the fixture between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Zambia.
The curtain falls on the opening day of Group F at the Africa Cup of Nations, featuring a clash between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia. Having been absent from the last edition, the DRC’s Leopards are eager to take the top spot in their group, following in the footsteps of Morocco who earlier in the day secured a 3-0 victory against Tanzania. On their part, the Zambian Chipolopolos are making a comeback to the AFCON scene after missing out on the last three tournaments.
In team composition, the DRC is placing its faith in striker Bakambu, flanked by Bongonda in the attack. They’ll be backed by talents from Ligue 1 such as Olympique Marseille defender Mbemba, FC Nantes midfielder Moutoussamy, and Lorient player Kalulu.
