This final, scheduled for Sunday, February 11, 2024, will see the Super Eagles of Nigeria face off against the Elephants of Ivory Coast.
With assurance and optimism, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) majority predicts a resounding victory for the national team. He decided to motivate his compatriots by borrowing the Yoruba word “Awalokan,” meaning “The Moment is Ours.” This statement reflects the spectacular victory of the Super Eagles over South Africa in the semifinals, which was decided by penalty shoot-outs with a final score of 4-2.
