The national team of Ivory Coast, nicknamed the Elephants, secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the 2023 African Cup of Nations after a victory on Monday night, January 29, 2024, against the Lions of Teranga, the Senegalese team. According to the former minister, who is currently the president of the Council for Justice, Equality and Peace (COJEP), head coach Emerse Faé, along with his players, performed a real feat by defeating the defending champions, who had been undefeated in the tournament until then. “Even a lion trembles before the comeback of an elephant.
