Following the sports clash between Ivory Coast and Nigeria, President Alassane Ouattara shared his thoughts. He expressed his feelings through a post on his official Facebook page.
In the match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles, the Ivorian team, nicknamed the Elephants, unfortunately suffered a defeat on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Although this setback represents an obstacle in the tournament, it does not spell the end of hopes for Ivory Coast.
According to the Ivorian Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, now is not the time for discouragement because all chances remain open for the national team. “All my encouragement to our dear Elephants. You have all our support and confidence for the rest of the competition!” he wrote.
It should be noted that Alassane Ouattara’s publication is accompanied by a photo, which truly expresses the pride of the entire country towards the Elephants.
