Gigi Hadid, the famous American model, was arrested last week in the Cayman Islands for drug possession.
Gigi Hadid, 28 years old, was arrested for drug possession and drug paraphernalia. She was apprehended while aboard a private jet that was transporting her to Owen Roberts International Airport.
According to TMZ, customs agents discovered a small amount of cannabis and “utensils” for smoking during a search of one of her bags. Gigi Hadid and her friend were handcuffed and taken to the Royal Cayman Islands Detention Center.
“The quantities were relatively small and were apparently intended for personal consumption,” the American press reported.
Fortunately, Gigi Hadid was released on bail after her appearance in court two days later. At the hearing, the model and her companion pleaded guilty. They were both fined $1,000 (approximately 890 euros).
