Taking advantage of their vacation in their home country, Ivory Coast, this young couple, who resided in Germany, were tragically found dead, burned, in Abidjan, on the N’douci road, on July 17, 2023.
According to security sources, the couple, who were returning from a trip within the country, specifically from the city of Tiébissou, fell victim to a serious traffic accident on the N’douci-North Highway axis and died inside their vehicle, which was engulfed in flames.
The tragedy occurred on Monday, July 17, at 2:00 PM. According to the source, “the couple resided in Germany and was on vacation in Ivory Coast. While en route to Abidjan, the husband attempted an overtaking maneuver but eventually abandoned it. While trying to return to their lane, he lost control of the vehicle, which spun on the road before being hit by a passenger transport bus heading to Gagnoa.”
It should be noted that the accident resulted in 3 injuries, including 2 fatalities, and 1 minor injury, who were taken to the BODO General Hospital. Additionally, this incident reminds us of the importance of avoiding dangerous overtaking and excessive speeds.
