In the state of Florida, in the southeastern United States, an 18-year-old woman has been placed under arrest in Miami for attempting to hire a hitman to kill her three-year-old son.
Jazmin Paez, 18 years old, allegedly sought out an assassin on the website RentAHitman.com to eliminate her three-year-old son before Thursday. The Miami-Dade mother is accused of sending photos of her young boy and the exact location where he would be, according to court documents obtained by NBC Miami.
Unfortunately for her, the website is a fake site created to offer the hiring of hitmen. The purpose of the site’s creator was to identify and prevent individuals from carrying out their target’s elimination. Thus, investigators, posing as the hitman, engaged in conversation with Paez to further develop the plan, during which the bloodthirsty mother allegedly agreed to pay $3,000 for the murder of her son.
Based on the exchanged messages, Jazmin Paez had requested that the child be killed by Thursday. Fortunately for the child and unfortunately for her, the creator of the fake site provided the information he had to the police. The officers quickly went to the location and encountered the child’s grandmother. They were able to retrieve the young boy and ensure his safety before returning to apprehend his mother.
She has been charged with first-degree solicitation of murder and third-degree use of a communication device for unlawful purposes, according to court records. She is currently in custody awaiting trial.
