The Beninese Football Federation has unveiled the list of selected junior Cheetahs for the 9th edition of the Francophonie Games, which will take place in Kinshasa, DRC.
Delayed twice due to the health crisis, the 9th edition of the Francophonie Games will be held from July 28th to August 6th, 2023 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Several African nations will participate in this sports and cultural competition, including Benin with their junior Cheetahs.
Currently in Ivory Coast, where they are participating in the UFOA B U20 Cup, the Beninese team will represent the nation in this tournament on Congolese soil. It will be a new challenge for Mathias Déguénon’s men as they face opponents of a different caliber. The young lions will compete against Senegal, Mauritania, and Cameroon in the group stage. It is worth noting that Benin will kick off their campaign against Senegal U20 on Friday, July 28th at 10 am.
