Ivorian singer and influencer Apoutchou National made a confession about his past life, particularly about how he used to make a living in France before becoming famous on social media.
Before gaining fame on social media, Apoutchou National had a job that allowed him to make ends meet in France. The son of Ivorian actress Brigitte Bleu, Stéphane Agbré, also known as Apoutchou National, revealed the work he did in a long post on his Facebook page on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
“Before I became an artist influencer, this is the noble job I did in France: the job of a forklift driver (he ensured the movement of materials or products using a machine for a company’s needs),” Apoutchou disclosed.
The Beginning of Clashes
The artist recalls how his life changed three years ago thanks to social media. “My life changed in 2020, specifically in December 2020, when I received my first payment from my live sessions. I looked at my account, and my phone dropped by itself. I said, ‘Can shouting foolishly on Facebook give me this? Since then, you’ve known an Apoutchou who acted without thinking, engaging in senseless clashes, and sticking my nose into everything. I was making a lot of money, but I wasn’t happy because I wasn’t comfortable with myself,” he confessed.
According to the man who calls himself Emma Lohoues’ sweetheart, he questioned his social media behavior. “Was what I was doing really right? Humiliating and insulting people to make a living, was it the right thing to do in front of me, my family, and my Creator?” he stated.
Turning His Back on Facebook Money
He then revealed that three years later, he listened to a voice inside him that advised him to stop the clashes. “A voice said to me, ‘No, Stéphane, you have to stop what you’re doing. Life is short, and money isn’t everything in the world. What example will you set for your children? Besides, I had just had my second child, Milan, my boy. Since then, I’ve tried everything possible to become a new Apoutchou. It wasn’t easy because I’m telling you, insults and lies attract people to live sessions. So I had to start from scratch, build a new identity,” Apoutchou revealed.
According to him, for over a year, he hasn’t been making money from Facebook. Stéphane Agbré, the son of Ivorian actress Brigitte Bleu, took the opportunity to advise young people who aspire to become influencers to strike a balance. “You don’t need to insult to be heard. Be yourself. Even if there are ten people in your live session, give what you can give, and be content with yourself. May God bless you abundantly.”
Ivorian singer Apoutchou Natonal has scheduled his first concert for January 6, 2024, at the Bernard B. Dadié Cultural Palace in Treichville, Côte d’Ivoire.
