At the police station, the man attempted to disappear into nature again. But this time, he reportedly jumped into a well approximately 40 meters deep, not far from the police post.

“I want to commit suicide” Despite the arrival of firefighters and the promptness of the local residents, the alleged thief decided not to come out of the well. “I don’t want to come out of this well, and I want to commit suicide. Anyone who tries to come into this well to save me will die with me,” he said in the Fulfulde language, as reported by Radio Solidarité FM.
