In an interview with a Nigerian social media outlet, 2Face Idibia, also known as 2Baba, condemned the online trolls targeting his family. He emphasized that if you’re not paying his children’s school fees, you should keep your opinions to yourself.

2Face, whose real name is Innocent Idibia, decided to address his critics on the Afrobeats podcast. Clearly frustrated, the Nigerian music star spoke out against trolls and internet users who belittle his family.

Speaking to host Adesope, the artist discussed the harsh nature of people on social media, describing their comments as hurtful. He made it clear that he’s aware of what people say about him and his family online, likening trolling to acts of terrorism against innocent individuals.

“I get a lot of vaccines. A lot of people say things about me. People have trolled me several times on social media. And sometimes, it hurts. Sometimes, some people just say nonsense on social media. It’s like terrorists bombing innocents,” he criticized, as quoted by Pulse Nigeria.

The father of seven noted that even though people constantly criticize him, none of them have come forward to help pay his children’s school fees on his behalf. For him, these social media mercenaries continue to troll him incessantly without understanding that he raises his children in his own way and there’s no blueprint for that.

“And I’m going to start asking myself how up till today, none of these critics, family-conscious ones, have come to help pay for my children’s school fees. Not even a single soul. A lot of people talk about children, parenthood, motherhood, all that circle. A lot of people talk about it with a thought like public opinion. But it’s deeper than that. Nobody has the exact blueprint of this thing,” he added.
