Citizens of certain African countries can now travel to Canada in 2024 without a visa. However, they must possess Canadian passports.
Citizens from fourteen African countries can travel to Canada without a visa, provided they hold a valid Canadian passport. These countries are: South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Cape Verde, Gabon, The Gambia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Senegal, Sao Tome and Principe, Tunisia, and Zambia.
It is important, however, for Canadian passport holders to check visa requirements for extended stays or for purposes not covered by the visa exemption.
